Naked attraction

It was reported last week that Barcelona is to ban smoking on four of its most popular beaches as part of the city’s clean air policy.

I’d love to see evidence that smoking in the open air makes a significant contribution to air pollution but that’s not why I mention it.

What made me laugh was this. According to the Guardian, ‘Smoking will still be permitted on Sant Sebastià, the popular nudist beach.’

Well that's alright, then.

If however you believe that smoking outside is a health hazard (which I don’t), it does beg the question, don’t nudists have a right to clean air too?

Why should non-smoking naturists be discriminated against and potentially exposed (no pun intended) to other people’s tobacco smoke?

What have they done to upset the puritans, apart from take their clothes off?

Then again, perhaps this is smoking as God intended - in the buff and on the beach.

PS. Question for nudists who smoke.

If you want to be environmentally friendly but haven’t got anywhere to put a pocket ashtray, where do you put your butts?
