World news
I was interviewed by World Radio News last night.
No, I’d never heard of it either, but the US-based operation describes itself as a ‘news organization producing Biblically sound, daily coverage of global, national, and cultural current events’.
I was contacted by podcast reporter Emma Eicher who wanted to talk about the generational tobacco ban. To record the interview we used Riverside, a video editing and recording app. Even for a technophobe like me it was very easy to use and I particularly liked the little snapshots it took (see below) for use on social media.
We spoke for 20 minutes and as I was sitting there, at my computer with my headphones on, chatting to Emma 4,680 miles away in Moscow, Idaho, I was reminded of a comment by Tony Hancock in The Radio Ham (1961): “I've got friends all over the world … none in this country, but all over the world!”
Sounds about right.
