Barry Cryer – a dying breed

Sad to hear that Barry Cryer has died, aged 86.

Lots of tributes, as you would expect, for this comedy legend but the one that stood out was a comment on a Five Live news bulletin this afternoon.

In the words of comedian Jon Holmes, "He could light up a cigarette and a room at the same time."

How many people can you say that of today? A dying breed, sadly.
